Nut-free & latex-free school

Please remember we are a NUT-FREE and LATEX-FREE school. This includes peanuts, tree nuts & balloons. This information is in our parent handbook.

Parent volunteer meeting is on October 4 after drop-off; join us in the east parish hall.

Monthly theme: Under the Sea

This month we will be learning how to write and recognize:

  • Letters: I, F, D
  • Numbers: 2, 12, 20
  • Shapes: Octagon
  • Color: Blue

Topics covered: what lives in the ocean; why there are bubbles; different types of boats; aquariums and what can live in them; plants that live in water and on land; different regions – wetlands, deserts and forests.

Activities include: exploring sand and the animals that live in it; sensory boxes with sand – what sinks or floats; exploring and nature walks.

Children’s Chapel

Families are always welcome to join us at 9:30 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the church. October is the time where we will walk through the Old Testament with stories about God’s people. Children will learn that God is faithful, loving and trustworthy. Your child may come home talking about Adam and Eve and Noah.

Halloween Party October 31

The Halloween pizza party will be Monday, October 31 from 9:30– 12:30. The cost is $3.00 per child if they would like pizza. Please turn this money into the office before the event. Send your child to school in their Halloween costume. Costumes are optional. Be sure to send a change of clothes for your student. The children will parade around the school in the morning followed with classes rotating in the east parish hall for games followed by pizza for lunch. Donations of candy (no peanut/nut) for the trick or treat bags are appreciated! Please watch for more information from your room representative.

Ms. Thompson’s class will be held on this day. If your student is in her class and they would like to join the festivities then you may pay the $25 drop-in fee. Please come to the office with questions.
