Carolyn Zimmerman joined St. Martin’s Episcopal School in fall of 2015. She graduated from UNT in 2003 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a curriculum which cut across disciplinary boundaries to equip her as a educator. In addition to her degree and certification in early childhood education, she has broad educational experience, including preschool at First Presbyterian Church in Grapevine, substitute teaching in Northwest ISD elementary and middle schools, coaching elementary school Destination Imagination teams, and serving as a PTA vice-president. Carolyn loves seeing a child’s “lightbulb” turn on; she believes that no child learns the same way, so she will always use different mediums and methods in her classroom.
Carolyn lives in Trophy Club and is married to her high school sweetheart Brad. They have two children. When this busy teacher and mom finds spare time, she loves to read, craft, garden, dance in her car, watch movies, and eat out. She confesses to have a huge addiction to Starbucks chai tea ;-).
