  • Numbers: 3, 13
  • Shapes: Square and rectangle
  • Colors: Brown and orange

Topics covered: the first Thanksgiving, Pilgrims, Indians, the Mayflower, what it means to harvest, how fruits and vegetables were harvested during the 17th century, homes and clothing.

Activities include: Discussing family traditions and why we are thankful for family and friends, learning how to make homemade butter.

Children’s Chapel

In November, we will give thanks for all the blessings in our lives. It is a great opportunity to talk about simple, everyday blessings with your child at home. We will continue exploring the Bible and meet Sarah, Abraham and Isaac. Students will also meet a special guest in Chapel, St. Martin. St. Martin teaches us that sharing and caring for others is important to God.

Thanksgiving Feast on November 17

Our Thanksgiving Feast will be Thursday, November 17 at 11:30. There will be a sign up sheet posted outside of your child’s classroom of feast items you can donate. If you would like to join your child for the feast, please let the office know in advance.
