At St. Martin’s Episcopal School we are including service learning (outreach) in our classrooms. These service activities will give enhanced opportunities for learning both personal and social skill development. We will learn about needs in our community and how we can make an impact to meet those needs. Children gain the social skills of leadership, self-confidence, empathy and responsibility through service learning. Service learning benefits us all.
Each month we will provide an opportunity for you and your child to participate in a service learning project that will benefit our community. Please look for details in the monthly newsletter, on our website, and on Facebook.
Give only as you are able. Please do not feel obligated to participate. We hope to provide you with a teachable moment that allows you and your children to grow and help those around you. If you have a service learning project idea please contact Serin or Amy in the school office.
